2024 House of Hogs Presents

Hogs for the Cause 2023 Recap Video

Since 2015

Family, Friends, & Food

A group of friends who love to barbecue are always up for a good time. They enjoy nothing more than gathering around the grill, cooking up delicious food, and spending quality time with their families and friends. Whether they’re hosting a backyard barbecue or joining in on a potluck at the park, these friends always bring their enthusiasm and appetite for fun. They take pride in their grilling skills and are always experimenting with new recipes and techniques to keep things interesting. Most importantly, they value the time they get to spend with their loved ones, laughing, chatting, and creating memories around the barbecue.

HOGS FOR THE CAUSE

The Festival

“Our acclaimed festival is an annual celebration of the year-round fundraising done on behalf of Hogs. It is also one of the country’s largest barbecue and music festivals, with over 30,000 fans gathering, dancing to 20 bands, and eating their way across 90 competing barbecue teams. Over the past decade, the festival has become our flagship, allowing us to raise millions of dollars and shine a light on our cause.”

It’s for the kids…

Raising funds to support a charity benefiting pediatric brain cancer is an important and worthwhile cause. Our internal team behind the fundraising efforts works hard to come up with creative and effective ways to gather donations. We use social media, flyers, and word of mouth to spread the word and get people involved.

Funds raised go towards the bigger mission of the Hogs for the Cause Foundation. They are currently developing on-campus housing at Children’s Hospital, “Hogs House,” for families outside the New Orleans region who have a child receiving ongoing healthcare treatment.

It’s a challenging but rewarding effort, and the team is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of children and families affected by pediatric brain cancer.

Unique Dishes

Our group of young chefs is known for their creativity and passion for food. They take pride in coming up with innovative dishes that delight the taste buds of festival attendees. Whether it’s a new twist on a classic recipe or an entirely original creation, these chefs are always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the kitchen. They spend countless hours experimenting with different ingredients and techniques, constantly refining and perfecting their dishes. When it comes time to showcase their culinary skills at the festival, they are ready to wow the crowd with their delicious and beautifully presented dishes. From appetizers to desserts, these young chefs have a knack for creating meals that are as visually appealing as they are delicious.

Annual Theme

Every year, we bring a fresh new theme to life! For last year’s HOGS Fest, we took a trip to Greece! We had thinly shaved meats coming off of three vertical broilers, lamb chops to order, fresh tzatziki, and so much more! This year, 2024, we are taking you on a trip to the far east and exploring the street food across five different countries!

Fresh Booth Design

Each year, the team responsible for designing the annual booth puts in a lot of hard work and creativity to come up with a unique and eye-catching display. The goal is to attract visitors and showcase the company’s products or services in an engaging and memorable way. The team starts by brainstorming and sketching out ideas, then creates prototypes and mock-ups to see what works best. They consider the theme of the event, the target audience, and the overall look and feel they want to achieve. Once the design is finalized, they work on building and setting up the booth, making sure everything is in place and ready for the big event. The result is always a stunning and professional display that impresses and delights visitors.

Straight From the Farm

We Believe in Quality

Fresh local meats and produce in New Orleans are a staple in many of the city’s most complex and delicious dishes. From succulent seafood caught in the Gulf of Mexico to juicy steaks from local farms, the options for high-quality ingredients are endless. These ingredients are often used in traditional New Orleans cuisine such as gumbo, jambalaya, and beignets, as well as in more innovative dishes created by the city’s talented chefs. The use of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients not only adds depth and flavor to the dishes, but it also supports the local agriculture industry and helps to sustain the unique culinary culture of New Orleans. Whether dining at a fine restaurant or picking up ingredients at the farmers market, it’s easy to find and enjoy the freshest and most delicious local meats and produce in the city.
