What started as a group of friends with a love for barbecue has grown into something far greater. At House of Hogs, we’re fueled by good food, great company, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference.
Whether we’re gathered around the smoker in a backyard or building an award-winning booth at Hogs for the Cause, we bring passion, creativity, and heart to everything we do. We’re constantly pushing the limits of what barbecue can be—experimenting with flavors, perfecting techniques, and sharing every meal with the people we love.
But most importantly, we do it for a cause that matters deeply. Every plate served helps support families battling pediatric brain cancer. Every laugh, every late-night cook, every celebration—it all adds up to something bigger.

HOGS FOR THE CAUSE
The Festival
Hogs for the Cause has evolved into one of the nation’s premier barbecue and music festivals, uniting communities to support families affected by pediatric brain cancer. In 2025, the festival achieved a record-breaking milestone, raising over $5.25 million—a 25% increase from the previous year. This brings the organization’s total contributions to more than $12.5 million, benefiting families and funding hospital programs nationwide.
The 17th annual event at the UNO Lakefront Arena Festival Grounds in New Orleans featured nearly 100 competing barbecue teams and over 20 bands across three stages. The festival’s unique blend of culinary excellence and musical performances continues to draw sold-out crowds, all rallying behind a cause that makes a tangible difference in the lives of countless families.
From its humble beginnings with a single pig roast, Hogs for the Cause has grown into a flagship event that celebrates food and music and shines a spotlight on the critical needs of families battling pediatric brain cancer. The festival’s success underscores the power of community and the impact of collective efforts in driving meaningful change.



It’s for the kids…
Raising funds to support a charity benefiting pediatric brain cancer is an important and worthwhile cause. Our internal team behind the fundraising efforts works hard to come up with creative and effective ways to gather donations. We use social media, flyers, and word of mouth to spread the word and get people involved.
Funds raised go towards the bigger mission of the Hogs for the Cause Foundation. They are currently developing on-campus housing at Children’s Hospital, “Hogs House,” for families outside the New Orleans region who have a child receiving ongoing healthcare treatment.
It’s a challenging but rewarding effort, and the team is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of children and families affected by pediatric brain cancer.

Our young chefs and team members volunteer their time, talent, and energy not for recognition, but because they believe in making a difference. All booth construction, travel, food, and logistics are covered entirely by our team and generous corporate sponsors—never from your donations.

Annual Theme
At HOGS Fest, we don’t just change our menu—we create immersive, themed experiences that transport you to another world. Each year, our team reinvents the booth from the ground up, delivering unforgettable bites and bold new adventures.
In 2023, we journeyed to Greece, serving up thinly shaved meats from vertical broilers, lamb chops grilled to order, and cool, creamy tzatziki that had lines wrapped around the booth.
In 2024, we explored the bold, vibrant world of Asian street food, with dishes inspired by five countries across the Far East—each bite bursting with global flavor and local love.
And in 2025, we went full pre-historic with House of Hogosaurus—a Flintstonian fantasy come to life. This two-story culinary colossus featured towering dinosaurs, a working drive-thru window slinging oversized turkey legs and wings, a fresh-baked goods “Bedrock Bakery,” and an over-the-top smashburger menu that had mouths watering from across the festival grounds. VIPs even enjoyed their own second-story deck with a perfect view of the Tito’s music stage.
Our themes aren’t just for fun—they’re part of how we raise vital funds for families battling pediatric brain cancer. Every bite makes a difference.

Every year, our team of passionate volunteers pours months of creativity, craftsmanship, and pure hustle into building a one-of-a-kind booth experience for HOGS Fest. But this isn’t just about making something eye-catching—it’s about creating a space that tells a story, sparks curiosity, and draws people into our mission.
From the very first sketches to full-scale mockups, we dream big. We consider every detail—from the festival theme and target audience to the emotional experience we want guests to walk away with. Once the vision is set, our team works tirelessly (and joyfully) to bring it to life.
The result? A show-stopping, immersive installation that wows the crowd and helps us raise critical funds for families battling pediatric brain cancer.
