Every check has a story.
Plates, tickets, merch, and gifts turn into checks. Here's who gets them, what they do, and how they found their way to us. A check shows up on this page once the organization tells us it landed.

$2,500 for Birthday JOY
Not every check we write goes to a hospital. This one's for birthdays.
Simon Says JOY! is an Omaha nonprofit that lifts up kids ages 1 to 18 facing financial, emotional, and physical challenges. They make sure those kids get to celebrate the big days, like birthdays and graduations, and feel valued while they do it.
“Our mission is to give them a moment to be seen, feel joy, and know they are loved on their special day.”

How it found us
Family sent it. A couple from Omaha who've backed House of Hogs for a decade passed us the link in September. We read it and said yes the same day.
What it does
The grant goes straight to Birthday JOY for the kids Simon Says serves. Joy is the whole reason we fire up a smoker, so this one felt like home.

Where the last $30,000 went
Kids fighting cancer, their families, and children in need. Same three lanes, every time.

Three rules, no exceptions
Receipt first
A check goes up here after the organization tells us it landed. Not when we drop it in the mail.
They say yes first
Every organization OKs being featured before we name them. Their story, their call.
Kids' privacy wins
No child's name, face, or story goes up without a parent's written OK. Ever.
More checks from this fall are on their way. Each one shows up here when its receipt does.
Every plate lands on a check like these.
Give once, go monthly, or sponsor a whole check. House of Hogs is a 501(c)(3); gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
