Meet the hand behind Hogs on the Half Shell.
Jason Craig, aka Jason the 29th, is an illustrator and designer out of Augusta, Georgia. He drew the pig that ruled our 2026 season: one happy hog, one glass of bubbly, one oyster shell, and a lobster bib. It ended up on the neon, the booth, the menu, the merch, and the Best Booth win at Hogs for the Cause 2026.

We gave him a theme. He gave us a mascot.
Every year House of Hogs builds a brand-new world at Hogs for the Cause. For 2026 it was New England seafood meets Bikini Bottom: lobster rolls, oysters, and a SpongeBob booth. We needed one mark that could hold all of that and still read as us.
Sammy called Jason in early March. Ten days later the final files landed, with a full logo, a badge, a pig-head icon, wordmarks, and print and web versions of each. The pig is pure joy: cheeks up, bubbly in one hand, a pearl in the other, sitting in a half shell like he owns the place. That's the energy we bring to every cook.
Then we put it on everything.
“Tight deadlines, high expectations and ambitious ideas are all part of the process. I can take the heat.”

Every detail is doing a job.
The pun, the plate, and the throne. It ties the pig to the raw bar.
Party first. We're a big family at a cookout, and he's raising a glass.
A nod to our New England roots and the lobster roll.
The badge version puts NOLA up top, because that's where we cook.
Jason's pig was all over the booth.
Tap a pin. This is the Hogs on the Half Shell booth at Hogs for the Cause 2026, and his logo shows up five times in one shot.

- 1The neon signFull color, lit up on the roof over the whole booth.
- 2The facadeHis wordmark sat center stage: "Authentic Tastes of New England."
- 3The menu boardThe pig badge sat over every lobster roll and rangoon we sold.

The neon.
Jason drew it flat. We bent it into glass. His Half Shell pig became a full-color neon sign that glowed over the booth. At night it rode on top of the S.S. Hogs for the Cause cart next to SpongeBob, Patrick and Mr. Krabs, with our Best Booth hardware hanging off the side.
Good line work survives anything. The same drawing held up as a stitched cap logo and as a glowing sign over the grounds.
From sketch to sunset.

One pig, six ways to wear it.
Jason didn't hand us one logo. He handed us a system that works on a cap, a menu board, a whole facade, and everything in between.

The whole crew wore his pig.
Tees for the team, long sleeves for the late shifts, and limited-edition embroidered caps. If you saw a Hog at the festival, you saw Jason's work.
Big leagues, and now the big pig.
Jason has two decades in the industry and went independent in 2019. Since then his illustration has shown up on stadium walls, in video games, on die-cast cars and on toy shelves. Here are a few of the names on his résumé, per his site:

A new theme is cooking.
We're back at UNO Lakefront on March 19–20, 2027, with a brand-new world to build. Every plate helps families fighting pediatric brain cancer. Help us fire up the next one.
